The Infernal Devices Photoshoot, 2023

When told that I could bring in anything to photograph that I wanted for my photography training, my immediate response was that I wanted to capture books! The photo shown here was a result of a session with my mentor, Gabriel Garcia. During this shoot, we worked with standing lights, flash, and also aids such as a can of fog spray. Timing the shot and finding elements to create the atmosphere depicted in the “Infernal Devices,” was one of the highlights of my training. I learned how to approach set design and got a lot more comfortable with using a camera.
