Grimlock Photoshoot & Photoillustration, 2023

I was asked to photograph this action figure of Grimlock from Transformers as part of my photography training. The main thing that I really wanted to do was play with scale in the photos. Grimlock looks like he would be huge. So, I found a box of Monopoly and borrowed some of the buildings to make that happen. Additionally, I tried to find an angle that would look dramatic and focus Grimlock as the subject. We added some fog as a dramatic addition.

The photoillustration draws on the inspirations of photoshoot, while alluding to the 80s animated origins of the show.
