A picture flower is worth a thousand words. In a time when expressing your feelings directly might have been frowned upon, the language of flowers developed. Giving flowers to others was a way to reveal and express the feelings of your heart— love and hatred alike.
Florid is a game that embodies the idea that the language of flowers is a powerful one, and can even be healing.
The project shown here is a narrative bible developed as part of the pre-production of Florid. While I was writing, I was inspired heavily by narrative-driven games such as visual novels.
